Position Description:
Altamira is seeking a technical professional to support Radio Frequency (RF) equipment operations including configuration, installation, integration, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment and softwareAptitude for and knowledge of the following; wireless microwave communications, cyber transport systems, voice, video, data services combined with remote power systems and remote monitoringBackground in electronic principles, RF principles, base station, mobile and portable communicationsA successful candidate will have strong knowledge and experience of IT systems, the impacts of system issues, RF interference, RF co-channel, RF de-confliction, Spectrum management/Frequency allocations and experience diagnosing and resolving system issuesRole and Responsibilitieso Provide field operations support to RF engineering teams using provided RF technologies and systemso Document and test the security posture of systems and maintain compliance with established policyo Ensure day-to-day operation and high availability of RF systems, network components and softwareo Implement, optimize, monitor, and troubleshoot systems utilizing system management and monitoring toolso Conduct procurement, installation, maintenance, and support for all temporary, current and new system implementationso Maintain detailed configuration documentation and facilitate changes in documentation and monitoring of network maps, IP schemes, system changes and upgradesEducation and Experienceo Eighteen (18) plus years of experience with RF, electronic & network systemso Electronic Principles, Radio Frequency Propagation & Radio Frequency Principles, familiarization with Network Routing & Switchingo Clearance:
SECRET clearance Abilities and Competencieso Proven experience in previous RF & Telecommunications career fieldso Understanding of and previous experience in RADAR theory & associated parametric datao Aptitude and comprehension of Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipmento Ability to quickly and concisely provide instruction or guidance to teammateso Intimate with use of radio equipment, brevity codes and phonetic alphabet.
o Utilize active listening skills to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and being mindful of interruptionso Ability to multitask and rapidly adjust priorities as needed.
